Words could not begin to express the gratitude that Rob & I feel. I could only give a big hug to Cheif Kirko, but I wanted to give you all one! I am sorry Rob was called out before you presented this amazing gift to our family, but he was completely speechless when I got home to tell him.
You are all etched upon our hearts and really I can say nothing more except,
Thank You so much to my beautiful & generous new friend, Julie. She has been a Godsend to our family, our cause...and an advocate for our son for not only helping him to get his service dog, but also helping our family find answers & support! She is truly an angel to me. It was very hard to accept that our son had Autism. Then to hear that no one knows why and there is no cure! We didn't understand it & it broke our hearts. We blamed ourselves and sometimes today we still wonder what we exposed our child to. Was it the Rhogam shot or flu shot I had while pregnant, was it something in the water or in the food we fed him, was it a vaccine or something in a vaccine? We love him regardless, that could never change, but it is still such a difficult every day. We have so much hope though, Julie (in our short friendship) has continued through her emails over the past couple of weeks to encourage me & remind me that there is still hope! This service dog for Trapper is like an answer to prayers & pretty much our hope. This dog hold our hopes for our son to be safe, have friends, have a little independance, and have a friend that helps him center or process with touch & pressure! It is so amazing how God answers our prayers!
